Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine
What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture and herbal medicine form part of a system of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which has been practised and refined for over two thousand years. As a self-contained system of medicine, TCM can be used to treat virtually any complaint (though some conditions will obviously respond better than others) often bringing relief where other treatments have not been successful.
TCM's main strength is the fact that it always takes note of the 'whole picture', linking symptoms with other aspects of an individual's personality, lifestyle and constitution, and so devising a treatment tailored to address every aspect of a persons need.
Acupuncture is second to none for alleviating tight muscles and painful joints, whereas digestive, gynaecological or more general symptoms tend to respond best to herbal treatment which can effectively balance the internal workings of the body.
